High Traffic Commercial Mats for Sydney Hospitality Venues
Hunters Hill Hotel and Jackson on George, two well-known Sydney hospitality venues, required a custom matting solution to support increased foot traffic leading into the ANZAC Day period.
The Mat Group worked with both venues to deliver large format PrintPlush mats that would enhance the visual presentation of each space while holding up in busy, high traffic pub environments. The client wanted a practical solution ahead of a key trading weekend where reliability and performance were essential.
PROJECT NEED:
Both venues required 3m x 3m mats featuring detailed artwork that would sit within busy hospitality environments. The priority was performance in a high traffic commercial setting. Each mat needed to function as a hard-wearing surface capable of handling constant footfall, spills, and general day to day use without degrading in appearance or structure.
The complexity of the artwork added another layer to the build, with the design spanning multiple joined sections within each mat. This required the finished product to maintain visual continuity while still delivering stability once installed.

OUR SOLUTION:
The Mat Group provided two 3m x 3m PrintPlush commercial grade mats.
Close attention was given during production to maintain alignment and print accuracy. This project required a hands-on, problem-solving approach to achieve the desired outcome.

THE IMPACT:
The mats were delivered and installed just in time for peak ANZAC Day crowds, performing exactly as needed in a demanding environment. Durable, functional and visually effective, the final product met the needs of both venues and was well received by the client.
Beyond functionality, the mats contributed to the overall presentation of each space, helping to define entry points and add a considered, branded element within the venue. Their scale and finish ensured they stood out without compromising practicality.
The final outcome delivered a solution that balanced durability with visual impact, giving both Hunters Hill Hotel and Jackson on George a product that not only looked the part but continued to perform where it mattered most - on the floor, in real conditions.
