Medical & Aged Care Mats

The ideal size for a doormat depends on the dimensions of your doorway. Since even standard doors can have slight variations, it's wise to measure your entryway to determine the appropriate size.

Here are some tips for measuring your doormat. Ensure the mat size covers at least 80% of your doorway's width and your doors have enough clearance to avoid them getting stuck on the mat. We offer a wide range of standard door mat sizes to assist with different entrances.

At The Mat Group we also specialise in Made To Measure mats. We offer entrance door mats that can be purchased cut-to-size for a specific space or by the metre or roll.

Properly specified and installed entrance matting effectively removes excess dirt and moisture from footwear and wheeled traffic. It also provides a safe walking surface to help prevent slips and trips. Moreover, ensuring that entrances are accessible and safe for everyone is essential for creating a welcoming and functional environment. Check out our Entrance mats range.

Outdoor door mats are generally crafted from durable materials designed to handle dirt, water and heavy use. Some popular choices of materials include rubber, polypropylene and nylon. Each of these materials has unique properties that make them suitable for different environments and needs:

• Superguard Entrance Mat
• Waterhog Classic Mat
• Safewalk Premium
• Rubber Scraper Logo Mat

For optimal functionality, position door mats a few inches away from the door's swing path to prevent it from getting caught. A welcoming mat at the entrance not only helps keep dirt and moisture at bay but also creates a positive first impression, offering a warm invitation to guests.
