Inlay or embossed?
Coir Logo Inlay
The logo is cut from coloured coir and set into the mat, so it is part of the surface rather than printed on it. It suits simple, bold artwork in up to three coir colours and is the long-life choice for a recessed entry. Made to measure, so it fits the matwell exactly.
Coir Embossed Logo
A raised, richly detailed embossed finish on a natural, grey or black coir base. It handles finer detail than an inlay and comes in three standard sizes, which makes it the quicker buy for a shopfront or a gift.
When coir is the wrong base
For gradients, photos or many colours choose a printed PrintPlush or PrintScraper mat instead. Coir cannot reproduce fine multi-colour artwork.
How to order a coir logo mat online
- Pick the size. Standard embossed sizes suit most doors. For a recess or a wide entry choose the inlay mat and enter your length and width; it is priced per square metre.
- Upload vector artwork. EPS, PDF or AI files give the cleanest cut and emboss. JPG and PNG are accepted but may need redrawing. Our artwork guidelines explain what works.
- Approve the free proof. A digital proof is emailed within 48 hours of upload. Nothing goes into production until you approve it.
- Allow four weeks. Coir logo mats are made to order; allow four weeks from payment and proof approval, then delivery Australia-wide.
- Choose edging. Inlay mats can be supplied with or without black rubber edging; edging is included inside the ordered dimensions.
- Keep it under cover. Coir is best in sheltered or recessed entries. For an exposed door choose a rubber-backed printed logo mat.
Caring for a coir logo mat
Vacuum or sweep regularly and shake out grit. Coir sheds a little when new; a tightly woven, latex-bound mat sheds less. Avoid soaking the mat, and let it dry flat if it does get wet.
